Weyside Urban Village – March 2025
Welcome to the latest update on the Weyside Urban Village regeneration project provided by Guildford Borough Council.

The new year has started well, as we’ve selected contractors to deliver two key components of the Weyside Urban Regeneration project. These exciting developments will benefit residents and the natural environment.
Burpham Court Farm Nature Reserve
We’ve appointed a main contractor to carry out the work on the Burpham Court Farm Nature Reserve. We are currently finalising the designs with them. We expect to start work on-site in the spring. This new nature reserve will help protect and enhance local wildlife habitats. It will also provide a beautiful green space for residents and visitors to explore and enjoy.
Once finished, the Burpham Court Farm Nature Reserve will feature:
- A 3.6km circular walk
- Additional trees and planting, including hedgerow restoration
- Four entrances for walkers
- Informal footpaths offering a variety of routes through the open space
- More wetlands, wet woodlands, and wildflower meadows
- New picnic areas, seating, and signage

Depot
We have also selected a contractor to build our new council depot. This purpose-built facility will bring several council services together in one building. It is a major investment that will support the growing needs of the borough and reduce operating costs.
